You can download any story that you create in Capsle Stories directly to your own device at any time.
Downloading a single story
Open the Capsle Stories app and navigate to the video or text story you'd like to download. You can find in the Home tab or in your Profile tab.
You can navigate to the video or text story you'd like to download by tapping the Home icon in the bottom left or your Profile picture in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
To save the video to your camera roll, tap the download icon in the top-right corner of the video. To save a text story, tap the three-dots button and select "Copy to Clipboard".
Who can download my stories?
Only you can download your own stories. The download icon only appears when you are viewing a story that you personally recorded.
Anyone you are connected to in Capsle Stories can watch and listen to your stories, absolutely free. However, to safeguard your privacy and security, no one except you can export your data from the app. Your family and friends will not see a download button and cannot export your content off of Capsle Stories.
Bulk downloading my stories
Want to download all of your Capsle Stories stories at once? No problem at all.
As long as you are a Capsle Stories member, you will be able to store unlimited stories in our secure cloud servers with complete peace of mind, and you can download backup copies to your own devices at any time. And—if you decide not to renew your membership for any reason, we make it easy to download all of your stories. Here's how:
Go to your Profile, tap the Gear icon in the top-right corner.
- From Settings, tap "Export my data" to download all of your video recordings to your camera roll at once. From this same screen, you can copy all of your text stories to your clipboard so you can paste and save them wherever you like.
Your data, your way. Always.
Capsle Stories is designed so that only you can take your original recordings and stories off the platform, which helps protect the vulnerable and intimate stories you share.
Even if you decide not to renew your subscription, you can always back up your videos and text so your family’s stories stay safely preserved in the way that works best for you.
